Women Aging Solo (or Not)
Planning Ahead for Greater Confidence and Peace of Mind
Who will be there when you need help? Do the right people know your wishes? Could someone find the important information they need in an emergency?
Whether you live alone, have a partner, or are surrounded by family and friends, planning ahead can make a meaningful difference.
Women Aging Solo (or Not) is a practical, engaging educational workshop from The Ages of Us that helps women 50+ prepare for life's unexpected changes, make informed decisions, and build the support they may need in the years ahead.
What You'll Learn
Planning ahead isn't just about having the right documents. It's about making sure the right people, information, and support are in place when you need them.
During this interactive workshop, we'll explore:
Building Your Support Circle: Identifying trusted people who can help when needed.
Planning for Health Care Decisions: Understanding advance directives, health care powers of attorney, and communicating your wishes.
Getting Essential Documents in Order: Knowing which legal and financial documents deserve attention.
Organizing Important Information: Making it easier for someone to find what they need in an emergency.
Preparing for the Unexpected: Taking practical steps to make everyday life safer, easier, and more manageable.
Participants leave with practical ideas, helpful resources, and a clearer understanding of their next steps.

Your Personal Planning Workbook
Participants receive a Personal Planning Workbook designed specifically for the Women Aging Solo (or Not) workshop.
Through guided exercises and practical questions, the workbook helps participants identify the people they can count on, review essential documents, strengthen their support networks, and choose meaningful next steps.
It's a resource participants can take home, revisit, and use to continue planning at their own pace.
The goal isn't to do everything at once. It's to know where to begin.
